The Rusty White Award shall be presented annually to any individual(s) or group who has made a significant contribution to sports within Perth and District over the previous year or has made a significant contribution over previous years as a participant, coach, official or builder.  Further criteria for the award may include examples of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and citizenship within the community.  The recipient must still be active in the sport(s) for which they have been nominated.

Selection of the Sportsperson of the Year shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
